The first full public show last night - preceded by the first Royal Package in a long while.
Always interesting to see where these conversations will go. In fact, "why don't you come to Florida" has been a frequent question in the past - so the start of this tour is proof that we do listen!
One of the questions last night (by someone who attended a KC show in Mexico, where the audiences are always very vocal and supportive) was about the effect of the different audiences. How did playing in front of a more controlled US audience compare to a Mexican audience?
Which turned out to the wrong question! The audience in Clearwater was unbelievably welcoming and supportive. In terms of the way the question was put - Mexico came to Florida last night. In fact, the opening act, The California Guitar Trio, received their own standing ovation long before Crimson took the stage. And very well deserved. It was a real pleasure to hear them again.
